1. IATA Regulations on CO₂ Cartridges & Approval

According to the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Dangerous Goods Regulations, field technicians are permitted to fly with pressurized gas cartridges under strict conditions:

  • Fitted Cartridges: Maximum of two (2) small CO₂ cartridges installed inside a self-inflating safety device (e.g., SOLAS lifejacket).
